The Yamaha YZE750 carved its name into Dakar Rally history during the 1990s. The pinnacle of Yamaha’s success came in 1991 with a complete podium sweep, led by champion rider Stephane Peterhansel.
Drawing inspiration from this racing legacy, Christian Schwarzenlander of Exesor Motorcycles in Austria undertook a meticulous transformation of a Yamaha XTZ750 Super Tenere.
The result is a rally-inspired masterpiece that exemplifies Christian’s expertise in maintaining a bike’s character while significantly improving its capabilities for real-world adventures.
A complete overhaul has transformed it into a head-turning machine. The most dramatic change rolls in on new wheels a 21-inch front paired with a 17-inch rear, both laced with stainless-steel spokes.
Upgraded wave-style rotors provide added stopping power to match the enhanced off-road capability. While the classic bodywork is largely retained, a custom tail section and a fresh windshield emblazoned with the Exesor logo add a touch of individuality.
Other visual tweaks include a high-mounted front fender and a handcrafted seat replacing the stock unit. The tail section keeps the license plate discreet, utilizing sleek LED lights for both taillights and turn signals.
The makeover extends to the rider’s zone, where a commanding LSL handlebar with hand guards, new mirrors, and upgraded levers take center stage.
A rally-inspired Touratech dash replaces the stock instruments, and off-road foot pegs finalize the ergonomic enhancements.
