Revitalized with a touch of German heritage and a sprinkle of Japanese engineering, this 1978 BMW R100S boasts a complete makeover courtesy of 86 Gear.
The custom shop began by stripping the bike down to its core, discarding unnecessary components, and prepping the frame for a fresh look.
A sleek aftermarket subframe with an integrated LED taillight replaced the stock unit, providing a base for the black leather saddle by Projekt X Nadarzyn.
The rear end is further enhanced by LED turn signals and a custom fender, all supported by adjustable YSS shocks.
The license plate found a new home on a swingarm-mounted bracket, while the front end received an overhaul as well.
Crash bars were added for protection, and the stock forks were swapped for inverted units from a Kawasaki ZX-7R.
A handmade front fender complements the new forks, and the braking system benefits from Tokico calipers (also from the ZX-7R), high-quality rotors, and braided hoses. A transformed R nineT boasts a unique headlight design, utilizing a repurposed unit to lead the way.
The rider grips Renthal handlebars adorned with Motogadget’s finest: tasteful grips, subtle switches, a multifunctional ChronoClassic dial, and bar-end blinkers and mirrors. An extra yellow-lensed spotlight mounted on the right crash bar adds another layer of illumination.
