Moto Adonis’ penchant for originality is the driving force behind their fascinating builds. A Yamaha TR1, ironically enough, served as the canvas for their latest creation, initiated by a request from MAD frontman Daan Borsje. Far from a mere cosmetic overhaul, this project goes deep into the motorcycle’s core.
Stripping the TR1 down to its essentials, Moto Adonis replaced the stock components with high-performance alternatives. The front end now boasts inverted Suzuki GSX-R forks, extended for optimal stance, while a YSS monoshock controls the rear.
Stopping power is dramatically enhanced with a Nissin caliper gripping a 320mm MotoMaster rotor up front, and a Brembo caliper paired with a drilled disc at the rear, all managed by a new master cylinder. The Yamaha TR1, in dire need of a transformation, found its destiny in the hands of Moto Adonis. This custom build is a testament to bold creativity and impeccable craftsmanship.
The bike’s foundation was radically altered with KTM wheel hubs and rims laced with stainless steel spokes, wrapped in dual-purpose Continental TKC 70 tires. A Honda CB750 Bol d’Or fuel tank, artfully adapted, now graces the frame, leading to a custom-built subframe supporting a diamond-stitched leather seat.
The minimalist aesthetic is punctuated by LED lighting and a high-mounted mudguard, while a powerful LED headlight illuminates the path ahead. Moto Adonis breathed new life into the V-twin engine and entrusted exhaust duties to MAD Exhausts, resulting in a stunning two-into-one system that’s both visually striking and functionally superior.
A minimalist black paint scheme, accented by vibrant stripes and gold components, completes the bike’s striking appearance. This collaboration between Moto Adonis and MAD Exhausts has not only produced a breathtaking custom motorcycle but also a high-quality aftermarket exhaust system for TR1 enthusiasts.
