Spencer Parr, a man whose custom motorcycles mirror his resilience, crafted this bespoke gem within the confines of his Brownsburg, Indiana garage.
The mastermind behind Parr Motorcycles, Parr poured his heart into this personal project, a labor of love that culminated in a stunning entry for the 2022 Roland Sands Design Dream Build-Off.
Beginning with a mere $200 eBay purchase of a Honda XR650R frame Parr meticulously assembled his vision. A blend of fabrication prowess and aesthetic flair transformed this skeletal foundation into a masterpiece.
Cerakoted components, a hand-built subframe, and a meticulously crafted leather seat by Dane Utech are just a few highlights of this extraordinary build. This custom XR650R boasts a heavily modified engine nestled within a custom skid plate.
Sourced from another XR650R, the powerplant now displaces 680cc thanks to a big bore kit and commands a higher 11:1 compression ratio. Breathing freely through a Lectron carburetor fed by a premium Uni foam filter and expelled through a bespoke stainless steel exhaust, the engine is kept cool by twin radiators.
Handling is transformed by repurposed Showa CRF forks up front and an XR monoshock at the rear, while gold Excel rims wrapped in dual-purpose Shinko 705 tires provide surefooted traction.
Top-tier brakes, LED lighting, and a host of ergonomic upgrades, including billet aluminum foot pegs, Biltwell grips, and a Garmin Zumo XT GPS, complete this adventure-ready build.
