Zachary Wilson, a US Navy Weapon Systems Officer accustomed to the adrenaline rush of piloting a F/A-18 Super Hornet, channels his passion for speed into another world: custom motorcycles. Beyond the thrill of riding, Wilson, under the moniker Red Barn Custom Cycles, transforms motorcycles into unique works of art.
His latest creation, a 1970 Triumph TR6R, is a testament to his skill and vision. Stripping the bike down to its core, Wilson meticulously transformed the frame into a hardtail, infusing the classic bobber aesthetic.
Handmade aluminum and leather components, including a battery storage unit and oil tank, add character, while a custom seat and headlight complete the retro transformation. This Triumph, transformed by Red Barn Custom Cycles, boasts a thoroughly reworked suspension system.
The stock forks received a full rebuild and sport external springs for enhanced performance. To complete the look, leather fork shrouds were added. The braking components were meticulously restored, ensuring the bike stops as confidently as it did when new.
Heidenau dual-purpose tires provide capable handling on various terrains, further emphasizing the no-nonsense approach. The minimalist theme continues with a clean and uncluttered cockpit. Aftermarket handlebars with essential switchgear and comfortable grips dominate the space, complemented by a stylish offset speedometer.
