STG Tracker, the Argentine custom motorcycle workshop celebrated for their distinctive street tracker builds, has once again demonstrated their prowess with a remarkable transformation. Their latest project revolves around a 1989 Honda NX650 Dominator, a model renowned for its robust reliability and suitability for customization.

The Dominator arrived at the STG workshop in need of a comprehensive overhaul. A meticulous engine rebuild was the foundational step in restoring the motorcycle to optimal condition. With the engine revitalized, the STG team shifted their focus to the chassis, where a dramatic transformation was in store. The original front forks were deemed inadequate for the desired outcome, prompting their replacement with a more substantial unit sourced from a Ducati Multistrada 1200.

To seamlessly integrate the inverted forks into the Dominator’s frame, STG meticulously crafted custom CNC-machined triple clamps. Complementing the upgraded suspension, high-performance Brembo calipers and floating discs were incorporated, significantly enhancing the motorcycle’s braking capabilities. The result is a front end that not only exudes visual appeal but also delivers superior performance.

STG’s overhaul of the NX650 began with a fundamental transformation of its braking system. The underperforming stock rear drum brake was discarded in favor of a more capable disc brake setup. At the heart of this upgrade was a Nissin caliper, complemented by high-performance HEL Performance hoses and premium master cylinders.

To enhance the bike’s handling and aesthetics, the team crafted custom billet aluminum wheel hubs and laced them with stainless-steel spokes to aftermarket 17-inch rims. Pirelli MT 60 RS tires were chosen for their ability to grip both on and off-road surfaces. While the original rear shock was retained, it underwent a comprehensive rebuild to optimize its performance.

These modifications not only transformed the NX650’s appearance but also significantly enhanced its performance and handling characteristics. The combination of upgraded brakes, revised suspension, and improved ergonomics created a motorcycle that was as capable off-road as it was enjoyable on the street.

Marcelo and Germán’s Honda XR650L is a striking example of custom motorcycle artistry. The bike’s transformation begins at the front, where a hand-crafted fairing, secured by custom-made brackets, replaces the original equipment. A high-mounted, aluminum fender complements the fairing, and together they create a sleek, aggressive profile. Modernizing the lighting, an LED headlight and aftermarket turn signals are integrated into the fairing.

The cockpit undergoes a similar metamorphosis. A low-rise ProTaper handlebar, wrapped in fresh grips and controlled by Motogadget switches, replaces the stock setup. To maintain a clean and uncluttered look, the digital speedometer from Motogadget is discreetly incorporated into the handlebar risers.

Under the skin, the Dominator’s single-cylinder engine benefits from a thorough overhaul and the addition of a performance air filter for improved breathing. A handmade stainless steel exhaust system, featuring a high-mount design and an Akrapovic muffler, dramatically enhances both performance and aesthetics.

The exhaust pipe is artfully routed behind the frame for a clean, minimalist look. To complete the transformation, the bike is adorned with a striking livery inspired by the iconic HRC racing colors.
