Gerard’s passion for motorcycles began at a young age, shared with his father. Together, they spent countless hours working on bikes in their home garage. However, the global financial crisis of 2008 forced them to sell their entire collection, except for a BMW R75/6.
Undeterred, Gerard continued to pursue his passion and eventually transformed the R75/6 into a stunning custom cafe racer. This project caught the attention of the online bike-modding community and helped launch Bandarra Motor Classic. Gerard and his teammate Albert have quickly gained recognition for their exceptional custom builds. One such project is the breathtaking R65.
This 1983 model arrived at the workshop in a dilapidated state but has been transformed into a masterpiece. The frame was meticulously cleaned up, the rear subframe was removed, and a custom looped unit was installed. The rear suspension geometry was revised with tailor-made upper shock mounts, ensuring optimal handling and performance. A trellis license plate bracket was added to the swingarm, providing a clean and minimalist look.
