Spencer Parr, the mastermind behind Parr Motorcycles, has once again showcased his exceptional talent with a stunning custom Ducati Scrambler build. Known for his ability to transform new and vintage motorcycles into breathtaking works of art, Parr’s latest creation is no exception.
Starting with a 2017 Desert Sled, he started a meticulous process of reimagining the bike’s aesthetics and functionality. One of the most striking features of this build is the completely redesigned rear end.
Parr replaced the original subframe with a custom-built tubular structure, not only enhancing the bike’s appearance but also improving its balance. A stylish brown leather seat, handcrafted by Dane Utech, sits atop the new subframe, complemented by a handmade electronics box and a sleek rear fender.
The rear lighting system features dual-function LEDs from Motogadget, providing both visibility and a modern aesthetic. Up front, Parr has incorporated a modified Harley-Davidson fender, raised beneath the lower triple clamp. A nine-inch LED headlight ensures optimal illumination, even in low-light conditions.
The cockpit is adorned with a gold-anodized handlebar, featuring a small mirror and Biltwell grips that match the seat’s color scheme. The Scrambler’s transformation was subtle yet impactful. While the core components remained largely unchanged, a series of carefully chosen modifications raised its aesthetic and performance.
New wave-style brake rotors and Continental TKC 80 tires provided enhanced stopping power and off-road capability. The engine’s internal workings were left untouched, but a custom exhaust system added a touch of personality.
A bespoke mid-pipe, mated to a high-mounted Leo Vince muffler, not only improved the sound but also complemented the Scrambler’s rugged character. The muffler’s placement beneath the rear fender added a unique visual element, while the skid plate protected the engine from off-road hazards, ensuring its longevity.
To complete the transformation, Parr Motorcycles applied a striking color scheme. A light blue base was accented with pinstripes and eye-catching retro Ducati logos on the gas tank. The combination of blue paint and brown leatherwork created a timeless and unique aesthetic.
The Ducati logos, in particular, added a nostalgic touch that perfectly complemented the Scrambler’s classic design. The effect was a motorcycle that was both familiar and fresh, a testament to the art of customization.
