The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, a modern classic, has been a canvas for countless custom builds, from bobbers and scramblers to cafe racers. However, this particular build from Royale, a dealership in Hamilton, New Zealand, takes a different route, venturing into racing.

Built in 2022 for the Busted Knuckles Build-Off competition, this bike is a testament to Royale’s expertise and passion for custom motorcycles. Starting with a stripped-down donor bike, Royale started on a significant structural overhaul. The original dual-shock setup was replaced with a monoshock arrangement, featuring a Honda swingarm and an Ohlins piggyback shock.

Additionally, a custom subframe was fabricated to complement the new rear suspension. Up front, the bike received inverted forks, a front wheel, brake calipers, and rotors from a Triumph Daytona, raising the handling and braking performance.

The rear wheel was also upgraded with a 17-inch hoop, a wave-style disc, and a Brembo caliper. The Royale GT 650, a custom race bike, is a testament to the brand’s commitment to performance. Its striking appearance is defined by a custom half-fairing, a pointed tail unit, and a bespoke belly pan.

The original gas tank is the only stock part retained, while the rest of the bodywork has been meticulously crafted. Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires provide exceptional grip, complemented by adjustable rearsets and clip-on handlebars for optimal riding posture.

Under the hood, the engine has been enhanced with custom velocity stacks and a handmade stainless-steel exhaust system. The black and grey color scheme, accented with orange and white, adds a touch of sophistication to this powerful machine.
