Den and Tonie, the duo behind BGM Cafe Racers, have faced numerous challenges in their journey to build custom motorcycles. Their resilience and determination have been evident throughout their time together, as they have overcome adversity time and again.

Their story began in 2019 when a devastating fire destroyed their workshop. Undeterred, they rebuilt their business from the ground up, only to face further setbacks due to the pandemic. Despite these obstacles, their passion for two-wheeled artistry has remained unwavering. Their latest project, a 1992 Honda CB750, showcases their skill and attention to detail.

By replacing the stock subframe with a custom-built one and upgrading the suspension, they have transformed the classic bike into a modern neo-retro cafe racer. The result is a stunning machine that not only pays homage to the past but also embraces the future of motorcycle design.

Den and Tonie’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of following one’s passion. Their story serves as an inspiration to anyone who faces challenges in their own lives. As they continue to push the boundaries of custom motorcycle building, it is clear that BGM Cafe Racers is a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

The custom CB750 project undertaken by BGM is a testament to their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to detail. By carefully selecting and installing high-quality components, they transformed the classic Honda into a modern masterpiece that excels in both performance and aesthetics.

The motorcycle’s handling was significantly enhanced with the addition of Ducati-donated inverted Showa forks, a billet aluminum top clamp, and a Fastec steering stem. These components worked in harmony to provide precise steering and exceptional stability, allowing the rider to confidently go through any road condition.

The wheels were also upgraded with bespoke hubs, stainless-steel spokes, and SM Pro rims, wrapped in Pirelli Angel GT tires, providing exceptional grip and stability, even in challenging conditions. To match the improved handling, BGM also revamped the CB750’s inline-four engine. The carburetors were meticulously overhauled and fitted with mesh-covered velocity stacks, while a custom stainless-steel exhaust system was fabricated to deliver enhanced power and torque.

The attention to detail is evident in the choice of components and the precision with which they were installed. The result is a motorcycle that not only looks stunning but also performs exceptionally well on the road. The visual appeal of the motorcycle is equally impressive. A custom-made tail section was seamlessly integrated with the factory fuel tank, creating a sleek and cohesive design.

A solo seat was added to complement the streamlined silhouette, further enhancing the motorcycle’s modern aesthetic. The bodywork was further enhanced with a 3D-printed taillight assembly and a pop-up gas filler cap, adding a touch of sophistication. These design elements contribute to the appeal of the motorcycle and make it stand out from the crowd.

Additional features include a small front fender, a potent LED headlight, clip-on handlebars with Brembo master cylinders and Motogadget bar-end turn signals, a digital Motoscope Pro dash, CNC-machined rearsets, and a distinctive olive-green paint scheme with black accents. The RC42 tank graphics were a nod to the model’s codename, and the frame and engine block were painted black, adding a touch of classic charm.

These details further enhance the motorcycle’s visual appeal and contribute to its character. With these meticulous modifications, BGM created a truly exceptional custom motorcycle that blends classic charm with modern sophistication.

The project showcases the team’s expertise in both mechanical engineering and design, resulting in a motorcycle that is both visually stunning and incredibly capable. The CB750 project is a testament to BGM’s commitment to excellence and its ability to transform a classic motorcycle into a modern masterpiece.
