Henri Ikola, the solo operator behind Steel Bakery, has breathed new life into this classic Honda, transforming it into a stunning custom creation. Ikola, a full-time employee at a car dealership, discovered this beat-up Honda CB750 from the early seventies on Facebook Marketplace.
Despite its worn-out condition, he saw potential in the bike and brought it back to his garage for a complete overhaul. The 736cc inline-four engine, in particular, was in dire need of repair.
Ikola meticulously rebuilt the engine, including boring out the cylinders and installing oversized pistons. The Keihin carburetors and airbox were also refurbished, but the factory exhaust system was beyond repair. To remedy this, Ikola fabricated a custom stainless-steel exhaust system with a quartet of reverse megaphone mufflers.
The bike’s appearance was equally transformed. Ikola crafted bespoke aluminum fenders and restored the other bodywork components to their former glory. The fuel tank and side covers were then painted in a livery closely resembling one of the factory options, with orange as the primary color.
The result is a stunning Honda CB750 that not only looks incredible but also performs exceptionally well.
