Lukasz Borsukiewicz and his brother’s lifelong passion for motorcycling, particularly custom bikes, has led them on a remarkable journey. Their first collaborative project in 2008, a striking Suzuki GSX-R1100 streetfighter, quickly garnered attention.
This success paved the way for the establishment of Borsukiewicz Motorsport in Rybnik, Poland. Today, their latest creation, a transformed BMW R 100 S, continues to impress. Departing from typical airhead customization trends, this bike boasts a unique identity.
A repurposed R 1200 R headlight, housed in a 3D-printed casing and held by custom brackets, dominates the front. The new fuel tank, a Benelli Mojave reproduction adapted for the Beemer, adds another distinctive element. These modifications alone significantly alter the motorcycle’s appearance. However, the Poles’ creativity didn’t stop there.
The R 100 GS’s transformation into a modern, sporty machine begins with a dramatic overhaul of its front end. A set of premium inverted forks from a BMW S 1000 RR replaces the stock suspension, while radial Brembo calipers and wave-patterned brake discs ensure powerful stopping power. At the rear, the stock swingarm, driveshaft, and wheel hub are swapped out for components from a BMW R 80 GS, supported by an adjustable YSS shock absorber.
The bike now rolls on tubeless aftermarket rims wrapped in Pirelli Angel GT tires, laced to the Beemer’s wheel hubs through stainless-steel spokes. Ergonomics are enhanced with billet aluminum rearsets and clip-on handlebars, providing an aggressive riding position. Motogadget supplies much of the cockpit equipment, including bar-end turn signals and mirrors, a digital Motoscope Pro dash, and grips. Under the hood, the air-cooled boxer engine receives a complete overhaul.
It breathes through Mikuni carburetors with mesh-covered velocity stacks and exhales through a custom stainless-steel exhaust system with LeoVince silencers. A Dynatek ignition system and twin-spark cylinder heads improve combustion and reliability, bringing the machine into the modern era.
To complete the transformation, Borsukiewicz Motorsport applies a striking livery. A combination of black and copper adorns the bodywork, complemented by gold pinstriping on the fuel tank and fender. This meticulous attention to detail raises the R 100 GS to a new level of style and performance.
The result is a truly unique and eye-catching motorcycle that blends the classic charm of the R 100 GS with the modern performance and technology of a contemporary sportbike. The R 100 GS’s transformation showcases the possibilities of custom motorcycle building, demonstrating how a classic machine can be reborn with a fresh personality and enhanced capabilities.
