Jeremie Duchampt, the mastermind behind Jerem Motorcycles, has quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned worldwide of custom bike building. Despite his relatively short tenure, his creations rival those of seasoned professionals.

One such masterpiece is the Yamaha XV1000, a stunning blend of streetfighter and cafe racer aesthetics. Starting with a 1983 model, Duchampt stripped the bike down to its bare essentials. The rear subframe was replaced with a custom made looped unit, dramatically altering the bike’s proportions.

A sleek, two tone saddle and LED lighting strip were added to the new subframe. To enhance performance, Duchampt fitted a Sachs monoshock from an MV Agusta and a swingarm from a Suzuki SV650.

The front end was also upgraded with inverted forks and Tokico brake calipers from a Kawasaki ZX-6R. Completing the transformation, Duchampt replaced the stock fuel tank with a smaller unit from an XV750, giving the bike a more streamlined appearance.

A custom made front fender and Metzeler tires with distinctive white lettering further accentuated the bike’s sleek design. The XV1000, a testament to Duchampt’s exceptional skills, is a stunning example of modern custom motorcycle craftsmanship.

The custom Virago’s cockpit features a sleek digital Koso dash flanked by clip on handlebars, while an aftermarket LED headlight illuminates the path ahead from its custom mounted position.

Billet aluminum rearsets and a Motogadget controller hidden beneath the gas tank complete the bike’s ergonomic and electronic enhancements. Under the hood, the Virago’s V twin engine received a comprehensive overhaul, including new air filtration and a custom built stainless steel exhaust system that snakes its way back to an under seat muffler.

The bike’s stunning red flake paint job, expertly applied to the fuel tank and front fender by A2F, perfectly complements the custom modifications.
