The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE is a formidable contender in its segment, boasting premium components, ample power, and a timeless aesthetic. However, for those seeking a more personalized touch, custom bike workshops like Tamarit Motorcycles offer a solution.
Renowned for their expertise in transforming Triumph modern classics, Tamarit has crafted numerous stunning 1200 XEs, including the Big Bertha. While the modifications may appear subtle, they enhance the bike’s visual appeal significantly.
Preserving the bike’s original high quality Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, Tamarit focused on aesthetic enhancements. A custom made rear fender with an integrated LED taillight and a compact license plate holder replaces the stock unit.
Motogadget aftermarket turn signals discreetly integrated into the same bracket further refine the rear end. Additionally, a Tamarit branded chain guard and a custom designed saddle contribute to the bike’s elegance.
The custom Scrambler, dubbed Big Bertha, boasts a striking black and gold color scheme and a host of modifications for enhanced off-road capability. A tailor made side cover flanks the seat on the right, while the tank is adorned with Tamarit badges and a fresh filler cap.
The cockpit area is occupied by an aftermarket handlebar kitted with bar end mirrors, but the Scrambler’s original dash has been retained. Right below it is a replacement LED headlight encased in a protective grille.
Lower down, a high mounted fender hangs on to the bottom triple clamp, while the lower forks are enshrouded in bespoke guards. A beefy sump guard protects the parallel twin engine’s underside.
The powertrain related work is minimal, consisting only of a fresh exhaust system. This high mounted pipework runs a two into one configuration with heat shielding. The engine covers are adorned with circular badges depicting the build name and number.
