Lionel Augier, the mastermind behind Duke Motorcycles, is known for his extraordinary custom creations. This Honda CX500, transformed into a stunning Brat-style motorcycle, is yet another testament to his exceptional talent. The once ordinary CX500, under Augier’s skillful hands, has undergone a complete metamorphosis.
With a focus on two-up riding capability, Augier has meticulously reworked the bike’s structure, shortening the forks and integrating a sleek, retro inspired headlight. The cockpit has been entirely revamped, resulting in a modern and stylish appearance.
The Honda CX500 has been transformed into a stunning café racer, showcasing meticulous attention to detail and a blend of classic and modern elements. Up front, a pair of aftermarket Daytona dials sit prominently above a low-rise CNC Racing handlebar adorned with brown leather grips, bar-end turn signals, and underslung mirrors.
A Domino throttle and a new front brake master cylinder complete the cockpit. The rear end features a bespoke looped subframe, supporting a beautifully stitched NMB Design saddle in matching brown leather.
A single YSS shock absorber and a modified swingarm handle suspension duties, while a swingarm mounted license plate holder keeps the rear end clean. Tiny dual function LEDs and a Motogadget controller streamline the electronics. The bike retains the stock wheels, now wrapped in vintage style Avon rubber.
The fuel tank, heavily modified from the original CX500 unit, complements the custom radiator cover and in house stainless steel exhaust headers. K&N pod filters ensure optimal airflow, and the monochromatic color scheme, accented by the brown leather, creates a timeless aesthetic.
