Purpose Built Moto (PBM), led by the talented Tom Gilroy, is a renowned custom motorcycle shop in Australia. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs, PBM has a long waiting list for their services. Michael, a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, was eager to give his Royal Enfield Interceptor a PBM makeover.
While he patiently awaited his turn, he took the initiative to start the customization process himself. Michael began by modifying the fuel tank. He added a stylish metal strap with circular cutouts and stripped the original paint, replacing it with a sleek grey finish.
Royal Enfield logos were added in black, complementing the aesthetic. Additionally, he installed an aftermarket exhaust system, enhancing both performance and sound. Once PBM took over, they focused on upgrading the motorcycle’s stance and handling. The stock wheels were replaced with wider 17-inch Excel rims, shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires for optimal grip on various terrains.
A custom-built front fender and an aluminum rear mudguard were added to complete the rugged look. The cockpit received a host of modifications, including a seven-inch LED headlight, PBM’s signature turn signals, and a Renthal handlebar. Bar-end mirrors and leather grips were also installed for a stylish and functional touch.
At the rear, a looped subframe and a license plate holder with integrated taillights and turn signals were added. A comfortable, black leather bench seat from Timeless Auto Trim finished off the motorcycle’s appeal.
The final touch was the paint job, expertly executed by Justin Holmes of PopBang Classics. The restrained yet impactful modifications by PBM transformed the Royal Enfield Interceptor into a stunning custom motorcycle, showcasing their ability to raise a classic design while maintaining its essence.
