Bulgaria, a country often overlooked in the European custom motorcycle scene, harbors a wealth of talented builders. Among them is Bull Moto Custom (BMC), a workshop based in Kyustendil, renowned for its stunning creations. The GT2, a 1981 Honda CB750 transformed into a breathtaking cafe racer, is a testament to BMC’s skill and creativity.
Starting with a stock 1981 Honda CB750, the BMC team started on a comprehensive transformation. The bike was stripped down to its bare essentials, and a custom tubular subframe was fabricated to accommodate a sleek LED taillight and integrated turn signals.
The original swingarm was replaced with a single-sided unit sourced from a 1994 Honda VFR750, requiring careful modifications for a seamless fit. To further raise the bike’s handling and performance, the front end was upgraded with inverted forks from a 2009 Yamaha FZ1, accompanied by a matching front wheel and brake calipers.
The rear wheel, also sourced from the Yamaha, was wrapped in premium Pirelli Angel GT II tires. The suspension setup was completed with a repurposed shock absorber from a Honda Hornet.
The bodywork underwent a significant overhaul, with only the fuel tank remaining from the original bike. It was reshaped to complement the new design language, and a custom cafe racer tail section was fabricated to complete the sleek profile. The minimalist approach extended to the absence of fenders, emphasizing the bike’s clean lines.
The cockpit was treated to a host of upgrades, including Vortex clip-on handlebars with adjustable levers, bar-end mirrors, and a stylish Rizoma brake fluid reservoir. A digital Daytona instrument cluster and two analog gauges were integrated into the top triple clamp, providing essential information to the rider. Sato rearsets were added to enhance the riding position and ergonomics.
The engine received a thorough overhaul, with a focus on performance and aesthetics. Upgraded pod filters and a custom four into two exhaust system with heat-wrapped headers and stainless steel mufflers were installed to optimize airflow and unleash the engine’s potential.
The bike’s striking appearance is achieved through a combination of black and gold accents. The bodywork is finished in a matte black, while the frame and wheels are coated in a glossy black. Gold accents are tastefully applied to the wheels, foot controls, and tank, creating a visually stunning contrast.
The GT2 is a masterpiece of custom motorcycle craftsmanship, showcasing the talent and dedication of the Bull Moto Custom team. It seamlessly blends classic Honda styling with modern performance and aesthetics, resulting in a truly awe-inspiring machine.
