Calling all car enthusiasts! Get ready for a sneak peek of two new electric vehicles at the upcoming Auto China show next week.
BMW will be showcasing their brand new i4 – basically an electric version of their popular 4 Series Coupe. This will be the i4’s global debut, and it sounds like it will share some design features with the recently updated gas-powered 4 Series, like redesigned headlights.
There are also some updates that the i4 might even have super cool laser taillights, just like some of BMW’s other high-performance models. We’ll have to wait and see about that one though.
The inside of the new BMW i4 is also expected to get some upgrades. It might borrow the flat-bottomed steering wheel from the gas-powered 4 Series models, and it should definitely get the latest iDrive 8.5 infotainment system. Plus, look for slightly different air vents with fancy lighting, similar to what you’d see in the new 4 Series.
Sharing the spotlight with the i4 at the Auto China show will be the Mini Aceman, Mini’s first electric car ever! This new Mini will be a subcompact crossover, smaller than the Countryman. It will be built in China, but will also be assembled in the UK starting in 2026.
