BMW has updated its 4 Series Gran Coupe and the electric i4 for the year 2025. These changes are subtle but noticeable. The most visible changes are to the grille and headlights. The grille surrounds now come in matte chrome instead of Satin Aluminum or Cerium Grey. The headlights have a new design with a single LED module and a unique daytime running light pattern.
When you approach the car with the key, the lights perform a special animation to welcome you. The top trims also get Full LED Headlights and Laserlight taillights. The grille surrounds on these trims come in high-gloss black.
Under the hood, both the 4 Series Gran Coupe and the i4 benefit from 48-volt mild hybrid technology. The engines have been improved for better performance. The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine remains the same, but the tailpipe finishers are now larger. The 3.0-liter inline-six engine gets a boost in power, now producing 386 horsepower on the xDrive all-wheel-drive version.
There are also some changes to the wheels and colors. New wheel options and palette colors have been added to give customers more choices.
Inside the car, BMW has added new technology and trim options. The steering wheel has been redesigned, and there are new options for the M Sport Package. The infotainment system has been updated to make it easier to use, and EV drivers can now choose their preferred charging stations.
Voice controls and gesture controls have been expanded to include more features, and owners can add their personal eSIM for connectivity.
The upholstery and trim options have also been refreshed, with new materials and finishes available.
Production of the 2025 4 Series Gran Coupe and i4 will start in July, and prices will be announced closer to the launch date.
