The 2025 BMW 3 Series is back with some changes for its seventh year. These updates may seem small, but they’re happening all over, from the outside to the engine. Let’s take a look.

The biggest change is the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to every type of engine. This helps boost the power of the 3.0-liter turbo six-cylinder engine in the M340i. With the new electric motor, it now has more horsepower and torque. The 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine remains the same, but it’s now a Miller-cycle engine, which might be useful to know for car trivia.

BMW also says they made some changes to the chassis, like making the rear shock mounts stiffer and adjusting the steering to be lighter in Comfort mode.

For the outside, BMW added some new wheel and color options, which is pretty standard for a new model year. Inside, there are more updates, like a new steering wheel for the 330i and M340i, and some changes to the dashboard lighting. The infotainment system also got some updates to make it easier to use.

The 3 Series will be available to buy this year, starting in August. The prices for the U.S. start at $46,675 for the 330i and $60,775 for the M340i, including the destination charge. If you want all-wheel-drive, it’s an extra $2,000.
