The new Sorento also gets a hybrid version. This variant gets a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine that combines with a 44.0-kW motor and produces 227 horsepower. The naturally aspirated engine gets a mileage of 24mpg on city roads and 29mpg on the highways. At the same time, the turbo engine gets 22mpg in the city and the same 29mpg on Highway roads. The most efficient variant is the hybrid one. It gets a mileage of 39mpg on the busy roads of cities, while on highways, it gives a mileage of 35 miles per gallon.
