Not many sports cars can provide both affordability and efficient performance. And searching for one can in an endless sea of mediocre cars can give you a migraine. That’s where we come in; we have brought you a sports car, in the form of a Subaru BRZ, that is budget-friendly and offers good performance.
This year’s Subaru BRZ has changed from last year’s model, and we can not say we did not like it. From a greater torque to a bigger digital screen, it’s all detailed below.
Price
The price of the Subaru BRZ Premium is $27,995, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. With an automatic transmission, it becomes $29,595.
Subaru BRZ Limited model starts at $30,495, paired with a manual transmission, and when paired with an automatic transmission, the price rises to $32,295.
2022 Subaru BRZ Engine And Fuel Economy
The car’s all-new 2.4L flat-4 engine generates a horsepower of 228 and fifteen percent more torque than in previous years, a total of 184 lb-ft. An automatic transmission allows the car to travel from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.5 seconds.
It is worth mentioning that Subaru’s engine produces more horsepower than its rivals like Honda Civic Sport, Mini Cooper S, and Mazda Miata.
The fuel economy of automatic, however, reduces from 24 MPG in the city, 30 MPG on the highway, and 27 MPG combined in the last year’s model to 21 MPG in the city, 30 MPG on the highway, and 25 MPG combined in this year’s model.
Interior
The interior of this year’s model looks so much more refreshing and modern than last year’s, all thanks to the designers of the Subaru BRZ. It comes along with an eight-inch infotainment system that could be connected with Apple CarPay or Andriod Auto
But the new digital instrument cluster took all the praise for itself. The instrumental panel has enhanced the overall look of the car, and some controls on the steering wheel are added.
The car is a four-seater but ideal for two due to such small legroom of 29.9-inches that it becomes hard for an adult to fit in the rear seats. If you fold the rear seats, you can have sufficient space to carry luggage with you. The cargo space is 6.3-inch, which is not generous, but one can work with it.
Subaru BRZ’s Features
The base, Subaru BRZ Premium, is equipped with seventeen-inch alloy wheels, an infotainment system, active engine sound tuning, a digital instrument cluster, satellite radio, and a driver’s knee bag.
The Subaru BRZ Limited is equipped with eighteen-inch alloy wheels, blind-spot monitoring, synthetic suede upholstery, Michelin Sport 4 tires, and more.
