The Ram 1500 for the 2025 model year comes with several changes and higher prices. The starting price has increased by $855 compared to the previous year, with the base Tradesman model now starting at $42,270. However, the more interesting additions to the 2025 Ram lineup, such as the optional twin-turbo inline-six engine and the new premium Tungsten trim level, come with significantly higher price tags.
The foundational versions of the 2025 Ram, including the Tradesman, HFE, Lone Star, and Big Horn trims, still come with the 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine with the 48-volt eTorque hybrid system. Opting for the new twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine will cost an additional $2,695 for the 420-hp standard-output variant within these trims. The “Hurricane” engine is standard on the upscale Laramie ($62,025) and Rebel ($66,190) trims, but it is only available with the crew-cab configuration and the six-foot-four-inch bed.
For those who want even more power, there is a high-output version of the 3.0-liter inline-six engine that boasts an impressive 540 horsepower. This variant is standard on the Limited ($77,150) and Longhorn ($77,645) trims and is only available with four-wheel drive. The V-6 and standard-output inline-six engines come with rear-wheel drive as standard on all models except the off-road-focused Rebel.
The new range-topping trim level called Tungsten starts at a hefty $89,150. This elite trim includes the high-output engine and four-wheel drive, and it is only available in the crew-cab configuration with the shorter five-foot-seven-inch bed. The Tungsten is equipped with luxurious features such as a power tailgate, upgraded interior materials, 24-way power front seats with massage function, and an impressive 23-speaker audio system.
The standard versions of the 2025 Ram 1500 will be available for sale in the current quarter. However, pricing details for the upcoming plug-in-hybrid option, the Ramcharger, which features a 663-hp setup combining electric motors, a large battery pack, and a V-6 gasoline engine, are not yet available. Additionally, an electric Ram truck called the Ram 1500 REV is expected to be released by the end of the year, with pricing details for these electrified models expected to be announced later in the year.
