Despite the real-life drivers, their names are absent from the car in the movie. Instead, it showcases Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt’s character), C Kelso, and Porsche ambassador Patrick Long, with sponsorship from Geico Insurance and Peak Antifreeze.

Bruckheimer himself acknowledged the honor of giving the command for the prestigious sports car race at the iconic venue, having previously experienced the excitement of the biggest NASCAR race held there.
