However, the 5 Series family is not yet complete, with the impending debut of the BMW 5-series Touring and its electric counterpart, the i5 Touring.
Similar to other recent BMW models, the new 5 Series offers a diverse range of powertrain options. From mild-hybrid engines to plug-in hybrid configurations, and notably, the i5, it even boasts a fully electric powertrain.
Anticipating more iterations of the 5-series, one of the upcoming releases is a distinctive body variant, the Touring, marking the return of this version to the 5-series lineup.
Building anticipation through social channels, BMW is teasing the introduction of the BMW 5-series Touring with a shadowy video, showcasing the practical embodiment of the 5-series in the darkness.
This, however, is no ordinary 5-series; it’s the electric i5 Touring. Alongside the electric variant, the 5-series Touring will also be offered with combustion engines, and more updates about the Touring version are expected.
Notably, the fifth generation of the 5-series Touring will witness the return of the M5 Touring, marking a significant moment since the disappearance of the E61.
While enthusiasts await the arrival of the M5 Touring, the i5 Touring is likely to make its debut soon, as BMW itself begins the introduction of this exciting addition to the 5 Series family.
