Aston Martin Vantage To Begin A New Chapter

The upcoming iteration of the modern Aston Martin Vantage is poised for its third installment, with a seamless continuation from the 2018 generation.

Aston Martin initially reintroduced the Vantage name in 2005 for the younger sibling of the DB9, and the subsequent generation, the first ‘modern Vantage,’ was launched in late 2017. Now, the third 21st-century Vantage is on the horizon, though it appears it won’t deviate significantly from its predecessor.

Much like the approach taken with the DB12, Aston Martin is likely opting for a comprehensive evolution of the existing model.

A noticeable change is already evident, as observed in the camouflaged Vantage spotted last spring, featuring slightly larger dimensions and rearward headlights that lend it a resemblance to its larger sibling.

The alterations aim to address the preferences of those who found the relatively small headlights of the outgoing generation less appealing.

In a departure from earlier Vantage models of this century, the upcoming version will forego the V12 engine in favor of the V8, mirroring the decision made for the DB12.

The 4.0 biturbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG, showcased in the DB12, has proven more than capable of compensating for the absence of the V12, boasting 680 hp, nearly 150 hp more than the V8-equipped DB11.

Anticipated is a noteworthy power increase for the Aston Martin Vantage. The unveiling is scheduled for February 12, coinciding with the debut of the F1 team’s new racing machine.
