Pin will be joining the regulars Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy aboard the #85 entry for Iron Dames. She comes into the team after completing the full WEC in 2023 with the Iron Lynx-affiliated Prema LMP2 squad, which is now running Lamborghini’s single SC63 LMDh in the Hypercar class.
During her debut season in prototype racing, the 20-year-old French driver achieved a best finish of third at Sebring, partnering with Lambo factory drivers Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat.
Replacing Rahel Frey in the lineup that secured victory in the final GTE Am race in Bahrain last season, Pin has prior experience with the Huracan GT3 Evo 2. She participated in three rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship last season and competed in the 2023 Spa 24 Hours.
Teaming up with Gatting, Frey, and Bovy, Pin finished sixth in the GTD class at the recent Daytona 24 Hours. Beyond her WEC commitments, she will also represent Prema in the F1 Academy series after being added to the Mercedes junior roster.
Team principal Andrea Piccini expressed excitement about Pin joining the team, noting her exceptional progress over the years and her potential to complement the strengths of Gatting and Bovy.
In another development, DTM race winner Franck Perera is set to make his WEC debut as part of the #60 lineup under the Iron Lynx banner. The works Lamborghini driver, a Daytona 24 class winner in 2018, will partner with team regulars Matteo Cressoni and Claudio Schiavoni, who raced together last season in the GTE Am class.
Having previously collaborated with Perera in the United States, Piccini expressed his happiness at having the experienced driver join the team on the global stage. Perera had recently completed his fourth outing for Iron Lynx in IMSA at Daytona, finishing seventh despite losing time due to a punctured radiator.
