Porsche is giving the Taycan a makeover for the 2025 model year, enhancing both its appearance and performance. However, these upgrades come at a cost, with significant price increases across the lineup.

The base Taycan sedan now starts at $101,395, marking an $8,845 increase from last year, while the 4S variant sees a bump up to $120,495. For those seeking even more power, the Turbo and Turbo S sedans now command starting prices of $175,595 and $210,995, respectively.

The Taycan’s wagon variants follow suit with similar price hikes. The entry-level Taycan 4 Cross Turismo now starts at $113,095, while the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is priced at $127,195. Stepping up to the Turbo Cross Turismo and Turbo S Cross Turismo will set you back $178,295 and $213,695, respectively.

To soften the blow of these increased costs, Porsche has improved the battery performance, along with refreshing the exterior and updating the display.

A new “push-to-pass” function has been added to the Sport Chrono package, providing a 10-second boost of up to 70 kilowatts, depending on the model. In the Taycan Turbo S, this translates to a boost of 140 kW when utilizing the Launch Control feature, resulting in a peak output of 938 horsepower.

Moreover, Porsche has managed to reduce the weight of the battery while increasing its capacity. During a test drive of a prototype 2025 Taycan in California, the vehicle managed to travel 313 miles before needing to recharge, with the battery showing an 8 percent state of charge.

Charging from 8 to 80 percent took just under 17 minutes, achieving a peak charging rate of 327 kW, aligning closely with Porsche’s estimated 18 minutes to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent.

The 2025 Taycan sedans are slated for delivery in the summer, with the Cross Turismo wagon variants following in the fall. Notably absent from Porsche’s current lineup are the GTS sedan and GTS Sport Turismo wagon, though it’s anticipated they will be reintroduced later this year.

The intriguing winged Taycan that Porsche teased lapping the Nürburgring is also missing from Porsche’s pricing announcements, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting further updates.
