Addressing challenges associated with traffic congestion, Sanwo-Olu identified indiscriminate parking as a major issue and reiterated the significance of the Lagos State Parking Policy in addressing this concern. The policy aims to curb unauthorized parking, thereby facilitating smoother traffic flow across the state.
The Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) initiated test runs along the Red Line on February 5th, paving the way for its official operation starting February 29th.
As part of his administration’s commitment to enforcing transport regulations, Sanwo-Olu stressed the importance of compliance with the Lagos State Parking Policy.
Highlighting the collaborative effort between the state and local governments, Sanwo-Olu emphasized the significance of partnerships in achieving mutual objectives.
Drawing parallels with successful initiatives such as the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA) and the Land Use Charge, he expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the Lagos State Parking Authority in addressing parking-related challenges across the state.
