Mercedes-Benz’s EQS, the flagship electric sedan, is nearing its third year in production, signaling the arrival of a mid-cycle refresh. Photographers recently captured prototypes of the facelifted model undergoing testing in various environments, offering glimpses of the updates.

Notable changes include a redesigned headlamp signature, inspired by the CLA Concept, aimed at enhancing illumination and giving the car a refreshed appearance. While the overall front and rear designs remain similar, expect tweaks to the bumper and grille, along with revised taillight graphics at the rear.

Interior updates may also be in store, with spy shots revealing both standard screens and the optional Hyperscreen. Details regarding potential enhancements to displays and the center console remain under wraps.

In terms of performance, no significant changes are anticipated, with the Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan continuing to lead the lineup in terms of power and range.

The current EQS lineup in the United States consists of the 450+, 450 4Matic, and 580 4Matic variants, each offering distinct performance and range capabilities. The facelifted EQS is expected to debut as a 2026 model, possibly launching next year.
