Ferrari, renowned for its V12-powered Gran Turismos, continues to uphold tradition despite changes in motorsport regulations. The F140 V12 engine, introduced over two decades ago, undergoes evolution with each model iteration.
Set to debut in May 2024, the F167 flagship Gran Turismo represents Ferrari’s commitment to performance and innovation. Speculated to feature rear-wheel steering and various electronic aids, the F167 builds upon the success of its predecessors.
The F167 is anticipated to retain the essence of the F140 engine, albeit with minor enhancements, potentially yielding around 850 metric horsepower. Amidst tightening emission regulations, the F167 may command a premium over its predecessor.
Recognizing the inevitability of electrification, Ferrari prepares for a future with hybrid and all-electric offerings. The introduction of the first series-production EV in 2025 aligns with Ferrari’s goal of incorporating electrification across its lineup while preserving the legacy of its V12-powered models.
