A recall has been issued by FCA US LLC for a specific subset of L-platform vehicles because of possible safety issues with the parking brake adjustment. In particular, there may have been an incorrect adjustment of the parking brake, which might have put the light vehicle braking system in violation of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 135.
A total of 1,808 vehicles, including the 2023 model year Dodge Challenger, its four-door variant, and the Chrysler 300, are potentially affected by this issue. The parking brake assembly, supplied by Android Industries LLC, may require readjustment to ensure compliance and safety.
Affected owners will be notified by Stellantis and instructed to visit authorized dealerships for necessary adjustments. This proactive approach underscores Stellantis’ commitment to ensuring the safety and compliance of its vehicles, prioritizing customer satisfaction and peace of mind.
While the recall addresses immediate safety concerns, Stellantis continues to innovate and introduce new models, including the upcoming three-door coupe variant of the Dodge Charger.
With a focus on electric powertrains and advanced technologies, Stellantis aims to shape the future of mobility while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
