Following the recent coverage of the controversial-looking Lamborghini Urus, another project from Mansory has surfaced on our news feed: the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance.
Some might argue it’s not entirely new, considering we featured a similar story just last month. And they wouldn’t be wrong. However, a subtle change has significantly enhanced its appeal: the absence of the red accents, particularly noticeable on the front grille and hood.
In contrast to the previous version adorned with red accents, this iteration opts for an all-black aesthetic, including the replacement of the three-pointed star emblem with a black Mansory logo at the front.
The exterior modifications remain consistent with the previous build, featuring additions such as front and rear bumper extensions, side skirt extensions, a vented hood, chin spoiler, rear diffuser, side mirror caps, and fender trim.
The wheels, reminiscent of disc-like designs more suited for a Rolls-Royce, maintain their presence. However, the interior receives a bolder treatment with light blue leather upholstery dominating the cabin, accented with Mansory logos on various components, though the full extent of the interior modifications remains undisclosed.
While details regarding engine enhancements are still undisclosed, it’s presumed that the mechanical aspects remain unchanged. The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance continues to boast a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine augmented by an electric unit, producing a formidable 791 horsepower and 1,055 pound-foot of torque.
The vehicle rivals earlier generation supercars with its remarkable powertrain, accelerating from zero to sixty miles per hour in under 3.2 seconds. Moreover, it can attain a peak speed of 180 mph when outfitted with the AMG Driver’s Pack.
MercedesMercedesA nine-speed automated transmission, improved brakes, enhanced steering, and a 4Matic+ AWD system are further performance characteristics.
Mansory has yet to confirm whether this iteration was commissioned by a specific client or is now available for purchase. If the latter holds, it’s anticipated to come with a substantial price tag, especially considering the base model’s starting price of €208,749.80 ($225,955) in its home market.
