Piloted by French racing driver Romain Dumas, the SuperVan 4.2 clocked an electrifying time of 1:56:3247, reaching speeds exceeding 186 mph (300 kph). This feat follows Dumas’s impressive performance at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2023, showcasing the van’s exceptional capabilities.
Built as a purpose-built demonstrator, the SuperVan 4.2 outpaced the formidable Mustang GT3, highlighting its prowess on the track. Ford’s decision to test the van at Mount Panorama underscores its unique challenges and demonstrates its versatility in diverse racing environments.
