MG debuts its Hybrid+ technology with the new MG3, marking the first use of a conventional, non-plug-in hybrid system in an MG-branded model.
The system combines a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle petrol engine generating 101 horsepower with an electric motor producing 134 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 191 horsepower.
Paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the model offers multiple driving modes such as EV, Series, Series and Charge, Drive and Charge, and Parallel, catering to various driving preferences.
Boasting impressive acceleration, the MG3 achieves 0-62 mph in 8 seconds and 50-75 mph in just 5.0 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating hybrid hatchback in its segment. With enhanced space, sound insulation, and suspension refinement, the MG3 promises an improved driving experience.
Available in SE or Trophy grades, the model offers advanced features including a twin-screen cockpit, navigation, smartphone integration, and a range of safety technologies. With production set to commence, MG continues to innovate in the hybrid vehicle market.
