Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Arcadia Droptail, a remarkable coachbuilt masterpiece with a price tag of $30 million. This exquisite creation takes its name from the mythical realm of Arcadia, a place celebrated in Ancient Greek mythology as ‘Heaven on Earth’.
Crafted by Rolls-Royce Coachbuild, the Arcadia marks the third out of four unique expressions of the Droptail commissions. It follows the introduction of the stunning Amethyst Droptail and the exquisite La Rose Noire Droptail, which made their debuts last year.
According to Rolls-Royce, this bespoke masterpiece was presented to the commissioning client at a private ceremony held in Singapore. CEO of Rolls-Royce Motors, Chris Brownridge, emphasizes the deep connection between the motor car and the client’s personality and preferences.
He notes that this connection empowered them to create inspiring design, craft, and engineering statements, showcasing their ambition and unparalleled abilities.
The exterior of the duotone Arcadia is painted in a solid white infused with aluminum and glass particles. This choice was made to achieve a timeless white appearance that reveals complexity under natural light.
Inside, the cabin boasts stunning woodwork finishes that required over 8,000 hours of development. The leather interior features two entirely bespoke hues named after the commissioning client.
One of the highlights of the Arcadia Droptail is its bespoke timepiece. Unlike its predecessors, the assembly of this clock face alone took five months, making it the most complex Rolls-Royce clock face ever created.
Anders Warming, Design Director, describes the Arcadia Droptail as a daring blend of minimalism and subtlety, influenced by the lifestyle of an individual with a unique appreciation for British luxury.
