Nissan has significantly slashed the prices of its 2024 Ariya electric SUV lineup, intensifying the competition in the electric vehicle market. The base model now starts at $40,980, marking a reduction of $3600 from its previous price point.
This revised base price applies to the Ariya’s front-wheel-drive Engage trim, featuring a 63.0-kWh battery pack. Moreover, pricing adjustments extend across the entire 2024 Ariya range.
For an additional $1600, customers can upgrade to the 87.0-kWh battery pack, available with the Venture+ trim priced at $42,580. This upgrade enhances the range estimates from 216 miles to 304 miles. Additionally, the Evolve+ ($45,580) and Empower+ ($49,080) trims offer a larger battery pack as well.
Opting for the more potent dual-motor, all-wheel-drive e-4ORCE configuration, available on select trim levels, requires an extra $4000 investment. At the top tier, the e-4ORCE Platinum+ model, boasting 389 horsepower and all-wheel drive, sees a substantial price reduction of approximately $6000, now commencing at $55,580.
Although the Ariya is manufactured in Japan and thus doesn’t qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit, the across-the-board price cuts bolster Nissan’s competitiveness in the EV market.
These adjustments also align Ariya’s pricing with that of rivals like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which recently underwent a price reduction and now starts at $41,695 for the remaining 2023 models.
Nissan has announced plans to introduce a NACS adapter later this year, enabling Ariya owners to utilize Tesla’s Supercharger fast-charging network. Furthermore, starting in 2025, the NACS port will become a standard feature on the Ariya.
