The 29th Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance witnessed the Delahaye 135 MS Narval Cabriolet clinching the Best in Show Award, while the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO secured the Best in Show in the Concours de Sport category.
Dating back almost eight decades, the Delahaye 135 MS Narval Cabriolet, one of six ever built, boasts a distinctive design reminiscent of a narwhal’s head bump.
Originally showcased in Paris in 1947, the car’s journey to the Amelia Concours was adorned with notable ownership, including renowned songwriter Charles Trenet. On the other hand, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, owned by David MacNeil, boasts an illustrious racing history, culminating in a meticulous restoration by Motion Products.
The event attracted record-breaking attendance, with visitors enjoying various activities, including auctions that saw a 1967 Ford GT40 Mk I Road Coupe fetching $4,405,000, highlighting the enduring allure of classic automobiles.
