Following nearly a year since its mid-cycle refresh, the second-generation Peugeot 2008 family expands in the United Kingdom with the introduction of a new self-charging hybrid variant.
Known as the Hybrid 136 e-DSC6, this model pairs a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, augmented by a 21 kW electric motor. The hybrid powertrain yields a combined output of 136 ps and improves fuel efficiency while reducing emissions compared to its PureTech 130 EAT8 counterpart.
Available across various trim levels, the Hybrid 136 e-DSC6 enhances Peugeot’s subcompact crossover lineup, providing consumers with an eco-friendly alternative alongside existing gasoline and electric variants.
With order books open and deliveries set to commence in March 2024, Peugeot’s expanded 2008 family offers a range of powertrain options to suit diverse preferences and driving needs in the UK market.
