The ImportRace channel on YouTube has returned to its beloved quarter-mile territory at Island Dragway after exploring other dragstrips like Bradenton Motorsports Park, Orlando Speed World, and Pocono Raceway. This return to familiar ground has been eagerly anticipated by fans.
Their latest video promises “multi-brand mayhem” at the track’s Test & Tune event. After releasing a 13-minute compilation of the action, the channel is now delving deeper, focusing on standout performances.
One notable contender was a ‘baby blue’ BMW M5 Competition, which demonstrated its prowess against an Audi R8 and a BMW X3 before challenging a Ford Explorer. However, the spotlight soon shifted to a Chevy Corvette Z06, which graced the quarter-mile track with its raw power.
Although it wasn’t the much-hyped mid-engine C8, the C7 Corvette Z06 still made an impression with its LT4 supercharged V8 engine. In a series of races, it defeated a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, showcased by its impressive acceleration and consistent performance.
Despite a rematch request from the C-Class driver, the Z06 dominated once again. However, its winning streak was interrupted by a face-off with a Cadillac CTS-V, resulting in an unexpected defeat. As the day progressed, a BMW M4 and a C6 Corvette also lined up to challenge the Z06’s dominance.
