Acura has unveiled its most powerful offering yet, the ZDX Type S, now available for order in the United States. Notably, the ZDX Type S is expected to qualify for the $7,500 US EV tax credit, setting it apart from other electric vehicles in its class.
The tax credit applies directly to the MSRP, effectively reducing the starting price of the ZDX Type S from $74,500 to $67,000. Despite its higher price tag compared to competitors like the Cadillac Lyriq, the ZDX Type S offers unparalleled performance and innovation.
Powered by two electric motors producing a combined output of 500 horsepower and 544 pound-feet of torque, the ZDX Type S accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 156 mph.
Equipped with a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, it boasts an impressive range of 278 miles on a single charge, according to EPA ratings.
In addition to its performance credentials, the ZDX Type S offers advanced features such as gloss-black wheels, Google integration, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a premium sound system. With multiple variants catering to different preferences and budgets, Acura is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
