The debut of the Aston Vantage Safety Car and the DBX707 Medical Car for the 2024 season took place at the Formula One STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX, held from 7th to 9th March.

Continuing the tradition, both high-performance vehicles are adorned in the distinguished ‘Aston Martin Racing Green,’ standing alongside the single-seater Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team AMR24 cars among the 19 other F1 contenders.

This marks the fourth consecutive season that the specially adapted Aston Martin Vantage has served as the official Safety Car, first making its appearance on the grid in 2021.

Driven by the experienced Bernd Maylander, the Vantage FIA Safety Car is equipped with specialized controls and screens displaying live data, allowing for quick responses and precise maneuvering on the track.

Powered by a handcrafted 4.0 twin-turbo V8 engine, the Vantage accelerates from 0-60 mph (0-100 kph) in a swift 3.5 seconds, ensuring it can lead the pack of 20 F1 cars with agility and authority.

Bernd Mayländer, FIA Safety Car Driver, expressed his satisfaction with the Aston Martin Vantage, stating, “It is a pleasure to drive the Aston Martin Vantage. We need a car that is fast and focused so we can respond quickly and safely when we receive the call for on-track deployment, and Vantage provides that.”

The award-winning DBX707, renowned for its performance, assumes the role of the Official FIA Medical Car for Formula 1, replacing its predecessor, the standard DBX SUV.

Outfitted with FIA-approved racing seats and fully stocked medical kits, including a comprehensive medical bag, defibrillator, and two fire extinguishers, the Aston Martin DBX707 SUV ensures prompt and effective medical assistance when needed.

Under the hood, the DBX707 Medical Car boasts an uprated 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine, propelling the world’s most powerful luxury SUV from zero to 62 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 193 mph.
