In a fitting farewell to the V-8 era of Ram’s 1500, Hennessey Motors has introduced the final iteration of its Mammoth 1000 pickup truck, based on the Ram 1500 TRX platform. With Ram transitioning away from V-8 engines for the 2025 model year, the 2024 Ram 1500 represents the last opportunity to order one with a V-8 powerplant.

To mark this milestone, Ram released a special TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition. Now, Hennessey pays homage with its own farewell model dubbed the Last Stand.

Exclusive to the 2024 TRX trucks, the Mammoth 1000 TRX Last Stand edition offers a standard performance upgrade priced at $36,950, with an optional off-road enhancement available for an additional $19,950. Customers can either provide their own donor trucks or opt for Hennessey to source one.

Distinguishing features of the 2024 Mammoth 1000 include new color options (Harvest Sunrise Orange, Delmonico Red, and Night Edge Blue) and a unique Last Stand graphics package adorning the rear fenders.

Each truck will also boast a build plate denoting its unique build number, with Hennessey limiting production to just 200 units worldwide.

The performance upgrade amplifies horsepower to an astonishing 1,012 hp, a significant increase over the stock 702 hp.

Achieved through a custom 2.65-liter supercharger for the Hellcat 6.2-liter V-8, along with pulley upgrades, a high-flow intake, stainless-steel headers, high-flow exhaust piping (including the catalytic converter), and recalibrated engine management.

The Mammoth 1000 also retains the TRX’s 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive system, while buyers have the option to upgrade to an enhanced transmission and larger Wilwood performance brakes for those inclined towards tracking their trucks. Performance claims include acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and a quarter-mile ET of 11.4 seconds at over 120 mph.

For those opting for the off-road package, additional features include custom bumpers, bespoke 20-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires (37-inch available), a front and rear leveling kit, and electronic fold-out steps.

In addition to the Mammoth 1000 Last Stand, Hennessey has also introduced farewell models for the Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger, and Charger, commemorating the end of an era as these models transition to electric or inline-6 powertrains.
