Land Rover has issued a recall for the Discovery Sport model due to a manufacturing defect affecting 60 units sold in Australia. Jaguar Land Rover Australia announced the recall after identifying a flaw that could compromise the vehicle’s structural integrity in the event of a collision.
According to Land Rover’s official notice, the defect involves the right-hand side lower A-pillar frame mounting bolt, which may not have been tightened to the required specifications during manufacturing.
This oversight could lead to a reduction in the vehicle’s structural strength during a front-end collision, posing a heightened risk of injury or fatality to vehicle occupants.
Affected owners of the 2023-24 Discovery Sport models are urged to contact an authorized Land Rover dealer promptly to arrange for the necessary repairs, which will be conducted at no cost.
