Vanilla Ice and the individual who purchased 50 Cent’s Lamborghini share the narrative of the acquisition. Interestingly, the buyer was unaware of the rapper’s identity. 50 Cent inadvertently left something behind in the sold vehicle.

Fred acquired a blue Lamborghini Murcielago, once owned by 50 Cent. “All the wheels were scratched up,” revealed Robert Matthew Van Winkle, also known as Vanilla Ice.

The new owner attributed the wear and tear to driving in New York City. The dealer who facilitated the sale emphasized its celebrity association: “It belonged to a renowned rapper.”

Fred’s response was unexpected: “The only rapper I know is Vanilla Ice.” Despite his limited knowledge, Fred’s desire for the car remained steadfast, prompting him to make the purchase. Over time, he delved into 50 Cent’s background, even obtaining his bestselling book, “From Pieces to Weight.”

Curtis James Jackson III, famously 50 Cent, acquired the Lamborghini as a reward after recording his “Get Rich or Die Trying” album, during a phase when he painted all his vehicles—including a Rolls-Royce Ghost—in what he dubbed “50 Blue,” a hue unavailable from the Italian automaker.

Amidst routine maintenance at a Lamborghini dealership, Fred’s Murcielago drew significant attention. While Lamborghinis were commonplace, 50 Cent’s former vehicle was a rare sighting.

Fred added a rear wing and a Kreissieg exhaust to the car, enhancing its appeal. Despite its origin, the Murcielago is gradually attaining classic status, having been the preferred choice of 50 Cent.

Powered by a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Murcielago delivered 572 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Its performance credentials included a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 207 mph.

Vanilla Ice, an automobile enthusiast, boasts a collection that includes a Ferrari F8 Spider and a cherished Mustang from the early ’90s, which he plans to restore once again.
