For nearly a decade, aficionados of compact luxury crossovers have been treated to the excellence of the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Since its debut in 2015, this SUV has become a cornerstone of the German automaker’s lineup, a trend likely to continue for years to come.
As of now, the American GLC lineup comprises two models: the GCL 300 and the GLC 300 4MATIC. However, this year brings a new addition to the fold.
Enter the 2025 GLC 350e 4MATIC, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) designed to offer American consumers more powertrain options. Expected to arrive in the second half of the year, this model aims to enhance the versatility of the GLC lineup.
Powered by a combination of a 1,999cc internal combustion engine producing 201 horsepower and a permanently excited electric synchronous motor adding 134 hp, the GLC 350e delivers a total output of 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a 24.8 kWh battery, the SUV boasts an all-electric range of 81 miles and can recharge in approximately 30 minutes using a 60 kW DC charger.
In terms of features, the GLC 350e offers standard amenities found in the regular GLC models, including heated front seats, navigation, Frontbass audio system, and PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist. Additionally, the PHEV variant introduces new standard equipment such as DC fast charging, self-leveling suspension, and 64-color ambient lighting.
Mercedes-Benz offers the GLC 350e 4MATIC in three trim levels: Standard, Exclusive, and Pinnacle, each offering varying levels of luxury and technology. Customers can choose from a range of exterior colors, wheel designs, and interior upholstery options to personalize their vehicle.
While pricing details for the 2025 GLC 350e 4MATIC have yet to be disclosed, it is expected to join the existing GLC models in a lineup starting at $47,100 for the GLC 300 and $49,100 for the 4MATIC variant.
