Polestar enthusiasts can anticipate more high-performance special editions akin to the BST Edition 270 and BST Edition 230 variants of the Polestar 2, according to Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath, speaking in an interview with Motor1 at the 2024 New York auto show.
While no specifics were provided regarding the timing or models for the next BST editions, Ingenlath hinted at their continuation.
The BST Edition 270 debuted in 2022, followed by the BST Edition 230 in 2023, with the numerical suffix denoting the production quantity of each edition. Polestar has yet to disclose the meaning behind “BST,” but these editions typically featured boosted power coupled with Polestar’s premium chassis enhancements.
Unique styling elements, such as distinctive paint finishes and racing stripes, were also part of the package. Ingenlath emphasized that these special editions enable the brand to explore new design concepts rapidly and creatively.
Alongside this announcement, Polestar introduced 2025 4 compact crossovers at the New York auto show, set to hit U.S. markets next month and reach customers by year’s end.
Deliveries of the 2025 3 midsize SUV will commence later in the year. Polestar’s future lineup includes the 5 sedans slated for reveal later this year, a 6-roadster expected in 2026, and a mysterious model labeled the 7, scheduled for release around 2027.
