Buick reveals the updated Envision, aligning it with its sibling models, the Encore GX and Envista. The 2024 Buick Envision, often overshadowed in the SUV segment, receives a comprehensive makeover as part of the brand’s extensive revamp. This compact five-passenger SUV, imported from China by GM, now boasts a redesigned interior and exterior.
The exterior enhancements bring the Envision in sync with Buick’s design language, following the cues of the Envista and Encore GX. Notable updates include a restyled grille and fascia adorned with the new Buick logo, complemented by sleek LED headlights and taillights, continuing the brand’s signature winged motif.
The rear fascia, inspired by the Wildcat EV concept, adds a touch of sophistication. Additionally, fresh color options like Calypso Blue Metallic and Smokey Amethyst Metallic expand the Envision’s palette. Under the hood, the Envision retains its reliable 228-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
However, front-wheel drive is no longer an option; all-wheel drive comes standard across all trim levels. Speaking of trims, Buick introduces the new Sport Touring (ST) variant, replacing the Essence trim, alongside the existing Preferred and Avenir models. The ST impresses with standard 20-inch wheels featuring a carbon fiber metallic finish, while the Avenir boasts 20-inch wheels with a pearl nickel finish. The base Preferred model comes with 18-inch wheels.
In terms of safety, the 2024 Envision raises the bar with an array of standard features, including adaptive cruise control, automatic intersection emergency braking, surround vision, blind zone steering assist, and more, making it the safest Buick yet. Inside the cabin, the Envision offers a spacious and tech-savvy environment.
The highlight is the new 30.0-inch display, the largest in its segment, integrated into the redesigned dashboard. The driver display and center touchscreen are seamlessly integrated under a single pane of glass, allowing for customization and app integration.
The standard technology package includes a nine-speaker Bose premium sound system and a head-up display. Further interior refinements include a revamped center console, updated seats, standard wireless charging, and a new leather-wrapped steering wheel with a flat bottom in the ST variant.
Interior color options such as Garnet with Ebony and Cool Gray with Slate Blue add a touch of elegance. Set to hit the market this summer, the 2024 Buick Envision offers a starting price of $37,295 for the Preferred, $39,795 for the ST, and $48,395 for the top-tier Avenir.
Competing against the likes of the Acura RDX, Lincoln Corsair, and Genesis GV70, the Envision aims to appeal to discerning families seeking luxury and versatility.
