Subaru has announced the pricing for its upcoming 2025 Forester lineup, revealing a notable increase in starting prices across all trim levels. The base model of the redesigned Forester will now start at $31,090, marking a $2650 hike from its predecessor. Similar price adjustments ranging from $2000 to $2930 can be observed across the rest of the lineup.
Here’s a breakdown of the starting prices for each trim level: the Premium starts at $33,390, the Sport at $35,890, the Limited at $37,390, and the Touring tops the range at $41,390, crossing the $40K threshold.
These price increases accompany the significant redesign of the 2025 Subaru Forester lineup, which features refreshed bodywork, a more rigid platform, and various other enhancements. Despite the higher prices, the Forester continues to offer a compelling package with its standard 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, coupled with all-wheel drive as standard.
While Subaru plans to introduce a hybrid powertrain in the future, the current lineup remains powered by the revised 2.5-liter engine. The Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring trims receive corresponding price hikes, with the Touring model being the first to surpass the $40K mark at $41,390.
Additionally, Subaru offers optional packages for select trim levels. For example, the Premium trim can be upgraded with a package costing $1200, including features like a power rear liftgate, blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. Similarly, the Sport and Limited trims offer packages with additional amenities such as a premium sound system and built-in navigation.
For enthusiasts eyeing the Forester Wilderness, Subaru confirms that the current version will continue alongside the 2025 lineup, starting at $36,265. However, anticipation remains high for a potential new Wilderness model, with Subaru fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
