Aston Martin The Americas has identified issues with early models of the DBX sport utility vehicle, stemming from a parts shortage during production. Instances of loose front prop shaft bolts have prompted a recall affecting a limited number of vehicles.
Following reports of breakdowns in Switzerland and the United States, Aston Martin initiated investigations into the issue. Subsequent analysis led to the identification of under-recorded torque applications on certain vehicles, necessitating corrective action.
Approximately 20 vehicles, primarily shipped to the U.S. market, have been affected by the recall. Aston Martin will conduct inspections and, if necessary, rectify torque discrepancies at no cost to customers.
Dealers have been notified of the recall, with owner notifications scheduled for April 22, 2024. The repair process is estimated to take approximately one hour, ensuring the safety and reliability of affected vehicles.
While the recall underscores the importance of quality control, Aston Martin remains committed to delivering exceptional performance and craftsmanship. Looking ahead, the forthcoming model year will see significant updates to the DBX, enhancing its features and capabilities for discerning customers.
